The victim in the case, who was 42 at the time...The rapist is John Moniz and he was 36 at the time. The case went unsolved from 2002 to 2010. He was arrested after his DNA was matched to evidence collected at the hospital.

Moniz submitted a DNA sample during his time in prison for a 2003 conviction of first-degree unlawful restraint and third-degree assault. He was also convicted May 15, 2002, on charges that included third-degree assault and patronizing a prostitute, records show.SwedishJewfish:
